Hitting the Transcription Trail Again

Taking a break this week until Friday probably, when I'll start taking a whack at the large backlog of untranscribed interviews I piled up summer 2009.

Once those interviews have been processed and filed in their appropriate chapter, I really will be in the homestretch. Sure, the revision process will be comprehensive. But I'll have a finished product.

After completing three chapters, I can see how with each completed chapter, I can see in more detail the big, 400 page picture. How things should and do fit together.

Civil War

Just finished watching Ken Burns' 1990 series on the Civil War. Interesting that Florida is mostly ignored in the piece. Even such a long series must be selective, but the Battle of Olustee and Battle of Natural Bridge are nowhere in the discussion.

State Budget Crisis Rankings
