Julie and Julia
Charming film. From my vantage point as a biographer at work, I found the Julie narrative moving.
Some reviewers took the film to the woodshed because they found the Julie subplot weak and distracting from the Julia Child centerpiece.
I enjoyed the parallel narratives though.

Lawton Chiles Leadership Corps
Young people working for a better Florida, building a "constituency of children" in the grand Chiles tradition.
The first conference for the Corps was a smashing success--more than 260 students participated in the two-day event. Former President Bill Clinton addressed the students.
