X-MAS Update

The "Chiles Files" as I call them are fully backed up on my thumb drive. January will be a big writing month and I can't wait for the new year and new beginnings. Ideas I thought were brilliant a year ago will seem prosaic--that's the beauty of careful, laborious revision.

I've spent much time during my hiatus preparing and constructing a work schedule and a workspace that's conducive to good thinking and that, above all, is sustainable.

I've done some test runs of it. Nice short work sessions. Now it's time to put this well-oiled engine on cruise control and let the pages pile up...
